Privacy policy

Nightcapper is provided by David Jones through InnCommand. This policy covers the Nightcapper iPhone and iPad app and its website.

Location and nearby offers

You can choose a city or allow access to your location while using the app. Location is optional and helps calculate nearby offers within your chosen radius. The app calculates distances on your device. It does not send your precise coordinates to the InnCommand specials feed or maintain a location history.

Nightcapper uses Apple services to display maps, identify your city from a location, and locate venues from their addresses. Apple may process location, map and search requests under its own Maps privacy information and privacy policy. Opening directions also uses Apple Maps.

Information stored on your device

Your saved special identifiers, preferred search radius, and a cache of venue coordinates are stored locally. These are not Nightcapper accounts and are not synced to an InnCommand user profile. Device backups may include app data according to your Apple settings.

Specials feed and website

The app downloads public offer information from apps.inncommand.com. Our servers may retain ordinary access logs, including IP addresses, request paths, times, browser or app information, and response status, to operate the service and investigate errors or abuse. The current app requests the regional feed without sending your precise location. If an offer includes a remotely hosted image, its host receives the normal network request needed to display it.

Advertising and tracking

Nightcapper has no advertising or third-party analytics SDKs and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell personal information or share it for targeted advertising. The app has no account registration or payment collection. Illustrative AI-generated product images are prepared in advance; using the app does not send your information to an image-generation service.

Support and beta feedback

If you contact us, we process the name, email address, message, and any details you choose to provide to respond. Our shared support form sends messages through Amazon SES and uses delivery records and a hash of your network address to limit spam. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive information. During TestFlight testing, Apple may provide us with crash diagnostics or feedback under its beta-testing settings and policies.

Your choices and retention

You can change location permission in iOS or iPadOS Settings and use a selected city instead. Remove saved offers in the app. Deleting the app removes its local app storage; manage any device backups separately through Apple. We retain support messages and operational records as needed to answer requests, maintain security, operate the service, and meet legal obligations. Contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us.

External links and age

Venue websites and other external services have their own privacy practices. Nightcapper’s alcohol-related offers are intended for adults of legal drinking age and the service is not directed to children.
