Terms of use

These terms govern SewTastic, operated by David Jones. By creating an account or using the community service, you agree to these terms and the community rules below. The app’s software license is also governed by Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

Using SewTastic

SewTastic helps you discover independent fabric shops, classes and learning resources, and participate in a sewing community. Accounts are optional for browsing and required for posting, replying and subscriptions. You must be at least 16 to create an account. Keep account details accurate and protect your password. Do not impersonate someone else or use another person’s account without permission.

Your content and permissions

You retain ownership of content you create. By posting it, you grant SewTastic a nonexclusive permission to store, resize, display and distribute that content as needed to operate and moderate the service. This permission ends when your content is removed from the service, subject to backup retention and copies already made by other users. We do not gain ownership of your patterns, designs or photos.

Only upload content you own or have permission to share. Credit creators where appropriate. Do not distribute paid patterns or other copyrighted material without authorization. You are responsible for the text, photos, links and personal information you choose to publish.

Community rules

Be welcoming and constructive. No harassment, hate, threats, sexual content, exploitation, scams, impersonation, spam or unlawful material. Do not publish private personal information. Disclose promotional relationships. Keep discussions related to sewing. Use reporting and blocking tools when needed.

We may review, hide or remove content, limit activity, or suspend accounts that violate these rules or put others at risk. You may contact support to ask about a moderation decision. We do not promise that every post is reviewed before publication.

Independent shops, classes and links

Directory information may change. Check prices, shipping, opening hours, class schedules, refund terms and suitability directly with the provider. SewTastic is not the seller, organizer, sponsor or guarantor of third-party goods, classes or websites. Any purchase is between you and that provider. Listings are not a promise of quality or endorsement.

Meetups and practical safety

Meetups are arranged by members. SewTastic does not verify participants, supervise gatherings or provide insurance. Make your own safety arrangements and prefer public meeting places. Sewing tools, techniques and materials may pose risks; follow manufacturer instructions and use your own judgment.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the app useful, but features and resources may change, and availability is not guaranteed. Beta versions may contain errors. We may update these terms with a new effective date and appropriate notice of material changes. If you do not agree, stop using the community and delete your account.

Privacy and account deletion

The Privacy Policy explains the information used to provide the service. You can delete your account in You → Delete account. Contact support if you need help accessing or deleting an account.

Responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided as available without guarantees that all content is accurate or that it will meet every purpose. These terms do not exclude rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections.
