Privacy policy
Aviation Calculator is developed by David Jones. The app is designed to work offline without a developer account, after trial activation or a purchase through Apple.
Information collected by the app
Version 1.0 does not send calculation inputs, results, aircraft loading information or app usage to the developer. It includes no advertising, tracking, third-party analytics. The app uses Apple’s StoreKit for a free 30-day trial and a one-time full-access purchase. It does not request location, contacts, microphone, camera or photo-library access.
Trial and purchases
Apple processes trial activation, purchases and restoration using your Apple Account. The app checks Apple-verified purchase records on your device, including product identifiers, purchase dates and revocation status, to determine access. The trial runs for 30 days from its original activation. A local last-observed date helps prevent resetting the trial by moving the device clock backward. The developer does not receive your payment details, Apple Account credentials, or device purchase records from the app. Apple may provide App Store sales and financial reports under its own services and policies.
The app requires internet to activate a trial, buy or restore. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy. There is no automatic charge when the trial ends.
Information on your device
The app stores unit preferences, favorite functions, calculation drafts, saved loading stations and up to 100 calculation-history entries on your device. It uses this information to restore your work and show past calculations. These values are not sent to the developer. The Copy action places a result on your device clipboard only when you choose it.
You can clear the calculation history inside the app. You can edit and replace a saved loading worksheet. Deleting the app removes its local calculation data; App Store purchase records remain with Apple and a restored trial retains its original start date; Apple device backup settings may retain a backup. Information you choose to copy or share is subject to the destination app and your device settings.
Website and external links
Opening a support, privacy or reference link connects your browser to the selected website. Our server may record standard request information such as IP address, requested page, browser information and time for operation and security. The product and guide pages use no advertising cookies, analytics scripts or third-party tracking. FAA, AOPA, NIST and Apple websites have their own privacy policies.
Optional support requests
The support form collects the reply email, topic and message you choose to provide. Amazon Web Services SES delivers your request to our existing support inbox. We use this information to respond to your request and maintain a support history, not for marketing. Please do not send passwords, payment details or sensitive aircraft or personal information.
The contact form uses a temporary security session cookie and short-lived rate-limit records to prevent abuse. Support correspondence remains in our email system while needed to resolve your request and maintain a support history. You may request deletion through the same contact form.
Apple services
App Store downloads, TestFlight participation, backups and any diagnostic sharing you enable with Apple are governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.
